Leadership, observed

The founding or management team under 120-180 minutes of scripted pressure, in the browser, before the term sheet or inside the 100-day plan. A neuro-quest session scores what they do, 92 behavioral indicators and 7 team-dynamics dimensions, benchmarked against the Cohort. The Executive Dash fits on one page of the IC memo. The pain, in your words

Six weeks on the numbers. One dinner on the team.

  1. 01Reference calls reach the people the founders chose.
  2. 02The pitch is rehearsed by the two who present. The other four run the company.
  3. 03The first hundred days fail on the people nobody tested, and by then it is your problem.
In your words
We diligence the numbers for six weeks and the founders over dinner.

The promise

Said in the pitch. Done in the Room.

Alice directs a cinematic simulation and keeps the Clock: five minutes per mission, sixty seconds at the peaks. Nobody may be captain more than twice, and never twice in a row, so the CEO spends most of the afternoon not in charge. Eight Opportunity Cards let anyone overturn a decision, buy time, go quiet or pursue a private objective.

The Alice Assessor listens to every exchange and scores it: 92 indicators, 25 competencies, 7 team-dynamics dimensions, against the Cohort. The pitch is what they say. The session is what they do, with a timestamp.

Said · from the pitch

We've worked together for ten years and never had a serious disagreement.

Didsample

Zero disagreements voiced across four eras. One Personal Mission pursued without disclosure.

Dimension 2, Conflict: 12th percentile

Said, on the left, is the pitch. Did, on the right, is the Alice Report of a synthetic founding team, scored against the Cohort. Nobody else has the right column.

The 72-hour turnaround

Booking to report in 72 hours

Deals do not wait for an offsite. A diligence session needs a browser, headphones and 120-180 minutes the team can give in the next three days. Slots run across US, UK, EU and GCC hours; diligence bookings get the next open slot in the deal's time zone. Alice needs 15 minutes. The rest is calendars.

What the investment committee gets

One page for the memo

The Executive Dash is one page: three conclusions in plain sentences, Team Potential as a cohort percentile band, never a score out of 100, and the People-Risk Map, three risks with a money line each. Behind it sit the pages an associate will actually read. The sample lines below come from a synthetic founding team of six in Timefold; the percentiles match the strip above.

  1. 01 Who leads when the plan breaks Captain Log · Dimension 5, Roles Captaincy: CEO 00:18-00:40 · CTO 00:40-00:58 · COO 00:58-01:30 · CTO 01:30-01:55. One Hand Over, by the CTO at 00:58. The CEO did not ask for the seat again. Roles: 71st percentile.
  2. 02 Whether disagreement happens out loud Dimension 2, Conflict · Card Ledger Zero uses of Cancel the Order. Zero disagreements voiced across four eras. 9 interruptions in Venice, 7 by the CEO. Conflict: 12th percentile.
  3. 03 Whose plan the team actually runs Dimension 3, Voice · Indicator 17, influence without authority The plan the team ran in Amsterdam came from the Head of Product, through Quiet Counsel at 01:12. Indicator 17: 84th percentile. Voice: 44th percentile.
  4. 04 How fast they commit, and who closes Dimension 4, Velocity · Indicator 47, decision latency under the Clock Median decision latency 96 s; 148 s at the Venice peak. The CEO closed 57% of commits. Velocity: 61st percentile.
  5. 05 What breaks at sixty seconds Dimension 6, Pressure · Indicators 86 and 87 Speech rate at the peaks stayed near baseline for four of six. The CEO's rose 40%; the CFO went quiet. Pressure: 38th percentile.
  6. 06 Whether they learn inside one afternoon Dimension 7, Learning · Replay Replay used at 01:07 after the failed shipyard mission. The second attempt reused the Alexandria split. Learning: 66th percentile.
  7. 07 What is private, and what is undisclosed Card Ledger · Personal Mission One Personal Mission, 01:32-01:51, pursued by the COO without disclosure. Reported to the team at 01:51 by the Head of Product, not by the COO.

The full report goes into the data room under Management. The founders get their Gap Cards: three strengths, two gaps, team-role tendency, three Moments as evidence, one recommended pairing. The 90-Day Playbook, 12 steps in 3 sprints with an owner per step, is the first draft of the people chapter of the 100-day plan.

Pre-term-sheet

$2,900one Team Session

The founding team plus the first key hires, 5-12 people, one Team Session, the Alice Report included. The Executive Dash goes in the memo. The Gap Cards go to the founders, which makes the session the first thing you give the team rather than the last thing you take from it.

Post-close, the 100-day plan

$2,900per session · Pulse-Tests on Growth

The management team in the first two weeks, while the org chart is still pencil. The 90-Day Playbook maps onto the 100-day plan step for step. On Growth, Pulse-Tests at day 30 and day 90 show whether it held, in the same report, against the session baseline.

M&A integration

2 sessionsone benchmark

Two leadership teams, two sessions, one benchmark. Compare the 7 dimensions side by side before you draw the combined org chart. Teams larger than 12 split into two sessions and compare on the same Cohort.

Portfolio

$19,000a year · Growth · ten sessions

Ten sessions across portfolio management teams, cohort benchmarks, the Talent Matrix export, Pulse-Tests, and a success manager who can lead the debriefs. Enterprise adds SSO/SAML, data residency EU/US, custom worlds built per contract, API (private beta) and unlimited seats. Annual billing in USD.

Confidentiality by design

Nothing hidden except the plot

Alice does not run covertly, and a diligence session is not an ambush. The team is told the session is part of diligence. Every participant sees what Alice does with audio and agrees on the Room Check screen before the Room opens. Then, for 120-180 minutes, they are too busy to perform.

Nobody from the deal team listens live. The session owner's view is progress across eras, who is connected and Room health. Never the transcript.

Who sees what is a policy you set at booking. The team report goes to the deal team. Each participant gets their own Gap Card. Whether the deal team also sees individual Gap Cards, or only aggregates, is the policy you choose, and we recommend telling the team which one before the Room opens. The debrief goes better when nobody is guessing.

Book under a code name. The report carries the team name you enter.

Method and Confidence · the last page

What Alice could not observe

The last page of every Alice Report is Method and Confidence: what was measured, the confidence level on each of the 7 dimensions, and what Alice could not observe, muted mics, dropped connections, a participant who joined late. Investors read the last page first. It was written for that.

Before Alice listened, two humans did. The method ran in 2024-2025 with a human director and two human assessors in the room: the same 92 indicators, the same report. Validation against outcomes is ongoing, and the Science page says so in those words.

What the report is not

  • Not a prediction of the deal.It is one afternoon under pressure, benchmarked. It goes next to the references and the data room, and it is the only document in the room with a "did" column.
  • Not a personality profile. No self-report, nothing the team filled in, no four-letter type.
  • Not a verdict on a person.Decision support for a human debrief, not an automated decision about anyone.
  • Not a camera.Alice listens. No facial recognition, no emotion recognition.

Sample, synthetic founding team: confidence high on five dimensions, medium on Trust and Learning. CFO's mic muted 00:52-00:55. No dropped connections.
